Mango is Developed based on an Ericsson international data communication standard - Mobitex. Mobitex Mobitex is in some respects similar to the digital cellular technology used for today's mobile telephone systems. The network consists of interconnected cells, each of which is served by a radio base station that provides wireless access to the network for mobile users. The base stations and other network nodes are connected together by fixed links. Despite these basic similarities, Mobitex is unique in several key respects. The characteristics that define the technology and make Mobitex unique in today's market are that it is a narrowband data-only network, that it uses packet switching and that it is based on an open international standard.
