MangoSports is a mobile data service provided by Mango in cooperation with
the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Users can access the service in Hong Kong and major cities in mainland China, using Mango's wireless enabled PDA manufactured by the Korean company Fidelix. MangoSports provides users with real-time information about horse racing, football matches and latest odds. It truly allows users to enjoy the experience of secured wireless betting and funds transfer services.
MangoSports was introduced jointly by the
Hong Kong Jockey Club and Telecom Digital Data Limited to give customers a brand new wireless betting experience. Simple and easy-to-use, this wireless betting device which requires no dial-up for connection. Through a large LCD touch screen, it shows a variety of racing and betting information, and allows users to check real-time odds and place bets at the same time. On top of a wireless betting device, MangoSports also gives free secretarial paging service to its users. It has been a great success since its launch on 16 February 2004.
